As part of the empowerment and capacity building program supported by the FFVI and BASR, the Bethlehem Sports Club of the Disabled (BSCD) organized a capacity building workshop, targeting a new group of young leaders with visual impairment from different districts of the West bank on Saturday 27th April 2013. The group included 27 participants (8 females and 19 males) with visual impairment from Jenin, Nablus, Ramallah, Bethlehem and Hebron districts.

The workshop tackled such topics  as communication skills and appropriate disability related terminology. This workshop is the first of a series of 6 workshops in 2013 and aims at empowering young leaders with visual impairment to become self-advocates, able to excert change in their communities in favor of their full enjoyment of their human rights.
