Specialized Educational Intervention for Children with Low Achievement at Ghirass Cultural Center PDF Print E-mail

A new cycle of specialized educational intervention has started at Ghirass Cultural Center for 120 boys and girls with low achievement from Bethlehem city and the surrounding villages and refugee camps. The participating children are attending public, private and UNRWA schools. The specialized educational intervention program started in December 2000. It is a new teaching method which focuses on the positive aspects of the child’s learning, and aims at developing cognitive abilities as well as understanding and critical thinking. The program has been successful in the past years. Children who participated in the program had better academic achievements. Ghirass continues to provide such interventions to help children with learning problems achieve their maximum potential.
