Through the generous support of CBM, BASR organized two out of four training workshops for self-help groups, one in the Bethlehem district and one in the Hebron district, 5-days each targeting 12 participants in each training. BASR also organized one out of two 5-days training workshops for representatives of local authorities in the Bethlehem district, targeting 15 participants.

This series of trainings aim at building the capacities of the targeted participants and advancing their developmental, fundraising and operational capabilities in terms of Strategic planning, project cycle management, effective proposal writing, fundraising and networking, enhancement of internal control systems (financial and managerial).

This initiative compliments BASR’s efforts towards promoting inclusive development by mainstreaming disability in the development plans of public authorities as well as empowering persons with disabilities as self-advocates to claim and defend their rights.

Other trainings targeting self-help groups and local authorities in the Bethlehem and Hebron districts will be conducted in June.
